In-Home Selling

This course focuses on helping the customer make their buying decision. Topics include everything from facilitating the buying process to understanding buyer motivation. It gives insights into what it takes to sell yourself as a solution and problem-solver. The goal of the course is to enable more effective sales.

Developing a Presentation Book

Tap into the power of the presentation book. Participants will learn what it takes to develop their book and make the most of it. They will also receive a presentation book template that they can modify to meet their business needs. Related course: This course serves in addition to the In-Home Selling course.

Selling and Up-Selling in the Home

This course outlines the importance of up-selling to gain a more comprehensive sale and ultimately, more satisfied customers. Participants learn the psychology of up-selling as well as a variety of techniques. The instructor will review techniques in selling all Mastic products, but will key in on the sale of Designer Accents. Participants will learn how to take a “good, better, best” approach in order to make the sale. Related courses: This course pairs well with Designer Showroom

Lead Generation

This course offers new and proven methods to develop and qualify leads for Mastic Home Exteriors products. It covers the most current methods to find leads, work referrals, develop new leads, pre-qualify leads, and to analyze and prioritize leads. Participants learn about the most effective advertising methods and how to start an effective canvassing program. The class includes a website review and suggestions for search engine optimization.

Designer Showroom

Designed to help participants learn how to install and sell Mastic Home Exteriors designer accessories while enhancing the showroom. Instruction includes actual showroom installation of items such as door surrounds, mantel products, lineals, dentil or crown molding, premium corner posts and sunbursts. It’s perfect for contractors with storefronts and distributors who want to improve the selling effectiveness of their showroom.Related course: A great class to be used in conjunction with Selling and Up-Selling in the Home

Running a Successful Home Show Booth

This course provides access to the tools that help make your home show booth a success. It outlines the process of planning, participating and following up after the show. Participants learn how to identify objectives, establish budgets, and select a booth design, location, layout, and size. They’ll also learn how to plan advertising, promotions and giveaways, choose and train staff, and how to evaluate results. This course includes directions on utilizing budget and ROI forms and shows how to use PowerPoint as a layout design program to make the best use of booth space.

Selling to Architects

This course outlines the architect’s role in building design. It discusses how architects are selected, what roles they play and how they charge and deliver their product. It reviews the key personnel that work in an architectural firm and how to communicate with these people. Participants get advice on how to locate architects for services and products. Plus, they’ll receive valuable insights about how to make the initial contact and develop an effective Capability Statement.

Product Knowledge

Get to know Mastic with these customized courses covering all or selected Mastic Home Exterior products. Learn in detail how to sell these products by understanding their features and benefits. It highlights how to use all the brand support and displays made available to support the Mastic products.

Product Installation

This customized course covers the required skills needed to install all or selected Mastic Home Exterior products. Choose from either a presentation or a hands on demonstration. There are set programs or classes that can be customized to the distributor or contractor’s needs. Multi pre-built installation walls can be shipped in to enhance the hands on versions of the class.

VSI Installer Certification

Sponsored by the Vinyl Siding Institute (VSI), this course insures that installers learn proper techniques to help reduce callbacks. The training is consistent with ASTM D4765 and helps installers through skill validation, exposure through a web registry and use of the VSI Certified Installer logo. This course requires at least three years of experience. The contractor is required to pass a closed book exam at the end of the training. There is a $165 cost to take the test. There is a more intense two-day optional class for contractors with only 1 to 3 years of field experience.
